A note from the editor…
Tis the season to be jolly….fa la la la la la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaa
I’m sure most of you listen to better music than that, but if not, good thing you’re here.
But it is that time of year, and you’ll find in this December issue of Tuned In Music that many musicians are trying to spread that jolliness—and not just during the holidays.
In our Headliners section, you will see how Charlotte Martin spends her time when she’s not touring—volunteering. She is currently involved with several great organizations and has some great ideas if you are interested in getting more involved in your community.
Jason Mraz has a strong dedication to the Make-A-Wish foundation, and is even sponsoring a donation to the charity on his website for the holidays. To learn more about that, read his interview or go here to donate.
Scotty Crowe, who has served as tour manager and written road journals for John Mayer, has a very special gift for his friend that will be a very special gift for many others, and you can help contribute to that. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the foundation and if you are interested in learning more or donating to this great cause, visit http://www.merrychristmasjohnmayer.com/
Also, check out the Headliners section for an article on Housing Works—a New York organization that sponsors live concerts to raise money for homeless people living with HIV and AIDS. There’s a lot of great stuff to get involved with, especially at this time of year, and it’s great to see musicians and fans alike getting involved.
In other news…
We have some great interviews this month with Stephen Kellogg, Ari Hest, Pete Kilpatrick and our breaking artist, The Cloud Room. We also have an interview with Nicky Rheaume from the booking agency Public Awareness, plus many great CD Reviews.
I hope the holidays find you happy and well.
Thanks for tuning in!
